1/2'' Pneumatic Angle Seat Valve DN15 Stainless Steel NC Process Valve
A 1/2'' Pneumatic Angle Seat Valve is a pneumatically actuated 2/2-way process valve used for on/off control of liquids, gases, steam and other process media. The angled body creates a relatively direct flow path, making this valve type suitable for applications requiring good flow capacity and frequent switching.
For a representative 1/2'' / DN15 normally closed configuration, published specifications include a stainless-steel body, PTFE sealing, 15 mm orifice, and pneumatic spring-return actuation.
Working Principle
The valve uses compressed air to move a piston inside the actuator.
Air supplied → Valve opens
When pneumatic control air enters the actuator, the piston moves against the spring force and lifts the valve seat, allowing the process medium to flow.
Air removed → Valve closes
When the control air is exhausted, the internal spring returns the piston to its original position and closes the valve.
This makes the NC configuration fail-closed when pneumatic control air is lost, assuming the standard spring-return arrangement.
