Shako Type 2/2 Way Solenoid Valve PU225A Series PU225A-08 1 Inch

PU225A-08 is a 2/2-way normally closed (N.C.) pilot-operated brass solenoid valve from the SHAKO PU225A series. The “-08” designation corresponds to a 1" port, while the standard A-series configuration uses a 25 mm orifice.

Working Principle

The PU225A-08 uses a pilot-operated diaphragm structure.

Coil de-energized: the main valve remains closed.
Coil energized: the pilot mechanism changes the pressure balance across the diaphragm, allowing the main passage to open.
Power failure: the valve returns to its normally closed state.

The pilot-operated construction is intended to provide a relatively low starting-pressure requirement while maintaining a larger flow passage.
