PU225A-04 is a 2/2-way normally closed (N.C.) brass solenoid valve from the SHAKO PU225A series. It uses a pilot-operated diaphragm structure, with a 1/2" port and 25 mm orifice, making it suitable for relatively high-flow air, water, and light-oil applications.

Working Principle

The PU225A-04 uses a pilot-operated diaphragm.

When the coil is de-energized, the main valve remains closed. When the coil is energized, the pilot mechanism changes the pressure balance across the diaphragm, allowing the 25 mm main orifice to open.

The PU225A series is specifically designed for low starting pressure, while maintaining a relatively large flow passage.
