The 1-1/4'' UPVC Anti-Corrosive Solenoid Valve is a plastic-body 2/2-way solenoid valve designed for automated control of acid, alkali, chemical liquids, seawater and other corrosive media. Brando's product catalog specifically lists a 1-1/4'' UPVC solenoid valve for corrosive liquids.

Working Principle

This type of UPVC solenoid valve uses a pilot-operated diaphragm/piston structure. When the coil is not energized, the valve remains normally closed. When the coil is energized, the pilot passage changes the pressure balance in the valve chamber and the main flow passage opens.

Because it is pilot-operated, the minimum 0.1 MPa differential pressure should be considered when selecting the valve. It is therefore different from a small direct-acting valve intended for zero-pressure operation.
