Product Features:

The 1/2'' Anti-corrosive PTFE Solenoid Valve is designed for automatic ON/OFF control of acid, alkali, corrosive liquids and compatible gases. For this size, there are several different PTFE constructions on the market, so the orifice, operating pressure and operating principle should be specified together with the 1/2" port size.

The valve uses a PTFE valve body, with PTFE, EPDM or FKM available as sealing options depending on configuration.

PTFE is selected for applications involving aggressive chemicals because the fluid-contacting construction can provide substantially different chemical resistance characteristics from conventional brass valves. The product family is specified for chemical, acid, alkali and corrosive liquids.

For example, another 1/2" PTFE design uses an isolating diaphragm to separate the process medium from the actuator components. This construction is specifically intended for aggressive acids and alkalis.
