VF3130 is an SMC VF3000-series 5-port pilot-operated solenoid valve, configured as a 2-position single-solenoid valve. It is designed for directional control of pneumatic cylinders and actuators. SMC's current catalog identifies VF3130 as a VF3000 body-ported, single-solenoid configuration.

Working Principle

VF3130 is a 5-port directional control valve. The five ports are used for supply, two actuator ports and exhaust paths.

When the solenoid is energized, the pilot stage shifts the main spool, changing the compressed-air path between the supply, cylinder and exhaust ports. When the electrical signal is removed, the single-solenoid valve returns to its normal position.

This configuration is commonly used for single-control directional switching of pneumatic cylinders.
