This plastic solenoid valve is a two-way, normally closed, semi-direct acting solenoid valve that can work without minimum pressure difference. When the coil is de-energized, the plunger and flexible diaphragm are located on the main valve hole. The working medium flows through a tiny "discharge hole" and pressurizes the cavity above the diaphragm-the system pressure and spring force seal the valve. When the valve is energized, the diaphragm is pulled away from the main orifice, allowing fluid to flow through the valve. Since the size of the discharge hole is smaller than the size of the main hole, the system pressure cannot be rebuilt on the top of the diaphragm as long as the main hole remains open.
