OPTIMUM auto drain valve is an electronic timer-controlled condensate drain used in compressed-air systems. It automatically discharges accumulated condensate from air compressors, air receivers, filters, refrigerated air dryers, separators, and drain points, reducing the need for manual drainage.

Working Principle

The OPTIMUM drain combines an electronic timer with a direct-acting solenoid valve.

The timer controls two adjustable periods:

• OFF time: interval between drainage cycles
• ON time: duration for which the drain valve opens

When the ON cycle starts, the solenoid valve opens and condensate is discharged. When the preset discharge time ends, the valve closes.

The available adjustment range is approximately 0.5–10 seconds for ON time and 0.5–45 minutes for OFF time, allowing the drainage frequency to be matched to condensate production.
