SMC Type Vx2120-06 1/8 Inch Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve AC220V DC24V

VX2120-06 is a 2/2-way normally closed (N.C.) direct-acting solenoid valve. The “-06” version uses a 1/8" connection and a 3 mm orifice. It is commonly used for controlling air, water, and other compatible fluids in compact fluid-control systems.

Working Principle

The VX2120-06 uses direct electromagnetic actuation rather than a pilot diaphragm mechanism.

Coil de-energized: the valve remains closed.
Coil energized: the solenoid directly lifts the sealing element and opens the flow passage.
Power removed: the spring returns the valve to the closed position.

This direct-acting structure makes the valve suitable for applications where the valve may need to operate with a low pressure differential.
